Event as part of the «Archives to School» campaign

May 3, 2024, as part of the republican action «Archives to School» and the project «Open Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could,» dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, for students of the educational institution «Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. Shamyakin» in the amount of 110 people, employees of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Mozyr» demonstrated the full-length documentary film «Liberation», prepared by the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents».

Before watching the film, the head of the department of information and use of documents, Elena Valentinovna Domashkevich, told the children about the offensive operation «Bagration», the military actions of the Red Army, the partisans who participated in the liberation of our country, the heroism of the operators of front-line film groups, the home front workers who, at the cost of their lives, won our right live under a peaceful sky in a free and independent Belarus.
