Premiere screening of the documentary film «Liberation», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, for students of secondary school No.28 named after V.D.Sokolovsky, Grodno
On May 3, 2024, the National Historical Archive of Belarus in Grodno organized the premiere screening of the documentary film «Liberation» (prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents as part of the project «Open Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could»), dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, for students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.28 named after V.D.Sokolovsky, Grodno».
Before watching the film, Deputy Director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno O.B.Olesyuk spoke to high school students, paying great attention to the importance of holding this event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. Head of the Department of Information, Publication and Use of Documents A.G.Karpusenko briefly previewed the documentary before its screening.
The newsreel documentary film «Liberation», watched by the students, reminded them of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, who paid a high price for the right to live under a peaceful sky.
