BGAMLI at the organizational meeting of the student club «Friends of the Archives»
On April 29, 2024, as part of the Republican action «Archives for School», the director of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art, Elena Aleksandrovna Makarenko, spoke at the organizational meeting of the student club «Friends of Archives» at the Faculty of History of BSU.
At it, club leaders were elected, the main goals and objectives of the club were discussed, and plans for the future were outlined. Participants discussed possible projects to study historical archives, conduct excursions and lectures, as well as organize exhibitions and conferences. Everyone agreed that the goal of the club is to popularize archives as an important source of historical information, support student interest in history and expand the information field about the importance of archives and archival affairs in Belarus.
The students at the meeting expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Faculty of History of BSU and the Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management Oleg Voinov for supporting the project and giving them the opportunity to participate in such a significant project, which will help them expand their knowledge and experience in the field of history and archival science. The guys hope for cooperation and fruitful interaction with the leadership of the Faculty of History and the Department of Archives and Records Management in the future.
