An information hour dedicated to the Chernobyl tragedy was held at the Central Laboratory

April 26 is a memorable date in Belarus. This is the Day of the Chernobyl tragedy. The staff of the state institution «Central Laboratory for the Preservation of Documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus» remembered those tragic events and those who, without sparing their health and lives, stood up to fight the radiation disaster.

They also discussed the implementation of targeted state policy in the field of liquidation of the consequences of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which made it possible to carry out a number of important tasks to solve radiation-ecological, medical, socio-economic and other problems related to the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

At the end of the event, the film «Defeating the Black True» was watched from the collections of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents, touching on the topic of the Chernobyl accident.
