On April 18, 2024, employees of the institution «Zonal State Archives in Slutsk» visited the Exhibition of the unique project «Partisans of Belarus»

The exhibition takes on special significance in the year of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from fascism and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

The exhibition, which took place at the Slutsk cheese-making plant, presented photographs from the time of the Great Patriotic War, award lists, combat characteristics of partisans and underground fighters, and also installed a branded interactive stand of the project «Partisans of Belarus», with the help of which every visitor can try to find his heroic ancestor from the number of partisans and underground fighters, learn new facts about the partisan movement on the territory of Belarus.

The exhibition «Partisans of Belarus» is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the collected documents that tell the story of the courage and heroism of the people who defended our Motherland. This exhibition plays an important role in the formation of the patriotic education of the younger generation, since each new generation moves further and further from the events of the Great Patriotic War, and the information presented at the exhibition will help preserve the memory and learn new facts about the partisan movement on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. For the sake of Victory, the partisans gave up their most valuable thing – their lives. And as long as we remember, they are still alive!
