On holding lectures and excursions for students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 7 in Grodno» at the National Historical Archive of Belarus in Grodno as part of the republican action «Archives to School»

On April 17, 2024, as part of the republican action «Archives to School», the National Historical Archive of Belarus in Grodno was visited by 8th grade students from the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 7 of Grodno».

A lecture was given to students about the history of the archival service and the main activities of the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno. Visitors were presented with some archival documents, and the procedure for searching for documents using the guidebook and inventories was explained.

Students also visited the archive storage facility, where they learned about the conditions for storing archival documents. In the laboratory for special processing of archival documents, they watched with great interest the process of restoration of original archival documents. At the end of the excursion, students were shown a poster.
