About conducting an excursion for 9th grade students State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.6 of Mogilev»

In the Year of Quality and as part of the «Archives to School» campaign, on February 26, 2024, 9th grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.6 of Mogilev» visited the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region».

Archive staff told students about the history of the creation of the archive, the main areas of activity, about the funds and the specifics of working with them and the conditions for storing documents.

Students got acquainted with archival materials from the period of the Great Patriotic War presented at the exhibition, and documentaries were shown to them: «Open Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could», «Defense of the city of Mogilev», «Occupation of Belarusian villages during the Great Patriotic War. Genocide».

At the end of the excursion, the schoolchildren visited a museum room with an exhibition on the history of the party archive.
