On the eve of February 23, BGAMLI congratulated the People’s Artist of Belarus I.Ya.Misko on his birthday

On February 22, 2024, on the eve of February 23 and the 92nd birthday of Ivan Yakimovich Misko, People’s Artist of Belarus, employees of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art visited the Workshop-Museum of I.Ya.Misko, where the outstanding Belarusian sculptor has been creating for many years.

For Minsk residents, the artist is better known for the monument to Maxim Gorky, although his main theme of creativity is space. The workshop-museum displays more than a hundred sculptures, graphic works, photographs, instruments, as well as an incredible mirror and door covered with autographs of astronauts, political, literary and cultural figures.

We congratulate Ivan Yakimovich on his birthday, wish him long life, inspiration, new creative ideas and their successful implementation!
