Meeting with members of the units of Post No.1 of the Hero City of Minsk at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus

On January 25, 2024, as part of the «Archives to School» campaign, a meeting was held at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus with members of the memorial detachment of Post No.1, which carries out the Honor Watch of Memory at the Eternal Flame on Victory Square. This time the archive was visited by students from secondary school No.178 named after T.A. Lukyanovich and gymnasium No.8 in Minsk.

As part of the meeting, the children were given a tour of the archive. The head of the department of personal funds Inessa Vladimirovna Dorogush spoke about its history, the composition and features of storing documents, and the work of the archive in the field of publication and exhibition activities. During the excursion, students got acquainted with the photo-documentary exhibition «The Land of Courage and Glory».

The students visited the archives of the funds of partisan formations, where they had a conversation about the history of the partisan movement and were introduced to the personal files of the command staff of partisan detachments and brigades, combat leaflets and other documents.
