Visit of schoolchildren to the Zonal State Archive in Kobrin

On January 22, 2024, in the Year of Quality and as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, the Zonal State Archive in Kobrin was visited by students of grades 9-11 from the Peskovsky secondary school in the Kobrin district.

During a sightseeing tour of the archive, the children learned about the history of the creation of the archive, the main directions of its activities, the composition of the stored funds; specifics of working with archival documents and storing documents. We visited the archives.

In the reading room of the archive, schoolchildren were shown a virtual exhibition «Kobrin – Little Paris».

At the end of the meeting, the experts spoke about Internet resources that can be used to search for information about archives, as well as obtain information about the types of documents stored in them. We answered questions about which higher and secondary educational institutions today train specialists in the archival industry.
