Lecture for students of the State Educational Institution «Oltush Secondary School named after A.N. Olesik» of the Maloritsky district of the Brest region in the State Archive of the Brest region

On December 14, 2023, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, the State Archive of the Brest Region was visited by students of grades 7, 8, 9 of the State Educational Institution «Oltush Secondary School named after A.N. Olesik» of the Maloritsky district of the Brest region.

Head Department for the use and publication of documents by G.D. Kalustov told the children about the history of the archive, its significance for society and the state, the composition of the documents stored in the archive, including evidence of the genocide of the civilian population of the Brest region during the Nazi occupation.

Schoolchildren got acquainted with the exhibition of documents «Tragic pages of the occupation regime in the Brest region: documents testify».

The students were also given a sightseeing tour of the archive, during which they received answers to their questions.

The schoolchildren’s visit to the archive was part of the event program organized by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Brest Region.

This event was accompanied by filming of the Belarus 4 TV channel of the Brest shopping and entertainment complex.
