About the internship at the Scientific Research Agency of Belarus for Liliya Nazypova, an employee of the State Budgetary Institution «State Archives of the Republic of Tatarstan»

From December 11 to 12, 2023, the head of the department for the execution of genealogical requests of the State Budgetary Institution «State Archive of the Republic of Tatarstan», Liliya Nazypova, who arrived in the Republic of Belarus as part of a delegation of representatives of this archive, headed by the director of the archive, underwent an internship at the NIA of Belarus Sergei Gorokhov.

The two-day internship took place in accordance with the Roadmap for the development of cooperation between archival institutions of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tatarstan for 2023 – 2025.

During her internship, Liliya Nazypova worked with archival documents on the history of Tatar clans in Belarus, shared with her Belarusian colleagues her experience in fulfilling genealogical requests at the State Budgetary Institution «State Archives of the Republic of Tatarstan», and became familiar with similar work at the Scientific Research Institute of Belarus. Also, Deputy Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Belarus Irina Kovganova and employees of the department of research and publication activities discussed with a colleague from the Republic of Tatarstan a joint project envisaged by the Road Map to publish a book dedicated to the history of the Muslim Tatars of Belarus in the 16th–20th centuries. An excursion to the Museum of Islam at the Minsk Cathedral Mosque was organized for the guests.
