About the participation of S.V. Kulinka at the International Conference in Gomel

November 23-24, 2023 at Gomel State University (GSU) named after F.Skorina held the International Scientific Conference «History of the Gomel Region in the context of the events of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. (to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Gomel from the Nazi invaders)».

The conference was organized by the Faculty of History and Intercultural Communications of the State University named after. F.Skaryna together with the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Belarus and the Russian House in Gomel. The dean of the faculty, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor S.Cherepko addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech; Vice-Rector A.Kukso; First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus, Director of the Russian House in Gomel O.Boronenko; a welcoming speech was read from the director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus V.Lakiza.

Head of the Publications Department of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, Ph.D. S.Kulinok acted as one of the moderators of the section «Eve of War. Combat». He also presented a report «Preparation of German reconnaissance and sabotage agents in the Gomel region during the Great Patriotic War».

The work of the section was carried out in an active and constructive manner, and the reports aroused keen interest and discussion.
