Lecture at the Department of Corrections

November 25, 2023 Head of the Publications Department of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, Ph.D. S.V.Kulinok gave a lecture «From Nuremberg to Gomel: trials of Nazi criminals in the first post-war years» at the Department of Execution of Punishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

More than 40 correctional institutions joined the video lecture online. About 2 thousand people listened to the lecture.

The lecturer shared with the event participants information about the formation of a legal framework for bringing Nazi criminals to justice; about the preparation and conduct of the Nuremberg trial of the highest German military-political leadership, and also spoke about the conduct on the territory of the BSSR in 1946-1947. four open trials: in Minsk, Bobruisk, Vitebsk and Gomel.
