About holding an educational event for students of the Minsk State College of Digital Technologies

As part of the signed cooperation agreement between NIA Belarus and the educational institution «Minsk State College of Digital Technologies», an educational event was held for college students on November 16, 2023. The head of the department of research and publication activities, Sergei Ryndin, gave a lesson to college students on the topic «Photographic materials in the National Historical Archive of Belarus». With the help of a presentation during the lesson, students were shown photographic documents from the late 19th to early 19th centuries. XX century, which are stored by the NIA of Belarus. Students were able to see photographic portraits of representatives of different segments of the population of Belarus, get acquainted with the fashion and tastes of past times, and get an idea of the level of development of photography.

During the lesson, S. Ryndin spoke about the history of photography, its emergence and spread in Belarusian lands since the mid-19th century. until the beginning of the twentieth century. It was especially noted that natives and residents of Belarus not only actively mastered photography, but also contributed to its technical improvement.

In conclusion, a new edition of the National Research Agency of Belarus «Zahovats is Eternal: Old Minutes and Modern Times of the National Historical Archive of Belarus» was solemnly handed over to the college library. NIA Belarus expresses gratitude to the students and teaching staff of the Minsk State College of Digital Technologies (and personally to the director Georgy Vladimirovich Kozel) for the hospitable welcome and the great interest shown in the documents of the National Historical Archive of Belarus.
