About holding an event within the framework of the Week of Parental Love at BGAKFFD
Family is the most important thing in every person’s life. It is the most important source of formation and development of personality, accumulation and transmission of traditions, spiritual and moral values.
Every year on October 14, the Republic of Belarus celebrates Mother’s Day, October 21 is Father’s Day, and from October 14 to 21 is the Week of Parental Love.
As part of the Week of Parental Love, on October 20, the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents (hereinafter referred to as BGAKFFD) hosted a festive event “To work with mom and dad.” Children of BGAKFFD employees, invited to work with their parents, took part in a quiz, put together a puzzle with an image of the archive, and also shared knowledge about the specifics of their parents’ work.
A small festive concert was also dedicated to children and their parents. Young participants, children of archivists, demonstrated their talents. The animated films “Dzed” (architect no. VM00732, 2011, director A. Lenkin) and “A Fish Called You Cannot” (architect no. VM01018, 2016, dir. A. Lenkin) from the funds of the BGAKFFD did not leave anyone indifferent neither adults nor children. At the end of the holiday, the little guests of the archive were treated to a sweet table prepared by the caring hands of their mothers.
