Lecture for musicians of the Honored Ensemble of the Republic of Belarus «Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus»

October 12, 2023 Head of the Publications Department of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (NARB), Ph.D. S.V.Kulinok gave a lecture «On the genocide of the population of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War» for the musicians of the Honored Ensemble of the Republic of Belarus, the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus. NARB and the Presidential Orchestra have fruitful cooperation. Musicians have repeatedly participated in cultural and musical accompaniment of archive and archival industry events.

In his speech, the lecturer revealed the concept of «genocide», spoke about the main legal documents of Nazi Germany regarding the policy of extermination of the civilian population, and also dwelled in detail on the main forms and methods of implementing the practice of genocide in the occupied territory of Belarus. A separate part of the lecture was devoted to the Khatyn tragedy and the holding of «Action 1005» on the territory of Belarus – an operation to hide the traces of the mass extermination of the population by the Nazis.

In conclusion, S.V. Kulinok answered numerous questions from the musicians.
