“Archives – school”: a lesson in the framework of the pilot project “Young archivist” in the educational institution “Mogilev State College of Arts”

Within the framework of the republican action “Archives – school”, the pilot project “Young Archivist” and the agreement on cooperation of the institution “State Archive of Mogilev Region” with the educational institution “Mogilev State College of Arts”, on October 5, 2023, a lesson with 3rd year students took place.

Archivist of the 1st qualification category of the Department of Scientific Use of Documents and Information Alexey Shvyrev acquainted the children with the documents of the foundation of the personal origin of the former director of the Golovchinsky Museum of Local Lore Vasily Dmitrievich Guzov, stored in the archive.

Among the documents of this personal fund are memoirs, photographs, clippings from newspaper articles dedicated to the partisan unit “Thirteen”. Under the leadership of Sergei Vladimirovich Grishin, it operated on the territory of the Mogilev region and caused significant damage to the Nazi occupiers. The documents reveal the details of the everyday life of the partisans, reveal the identity of the commander of the detachment S.V. Grishin.
