About the participation of an employee of the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus in the forum of the Union state «Russia and Belarus: common history, common destiny»

On October 3-4, 2023, the International Forum of the Union State «Russia and Belarus: Common History, Common Destiny» was held at the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Belarus. He united scientists, teachers, archivists, law enforcement officers from Belarus and Russia. The organizing committee of the event included the director of the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus (NARB) A.K.Demeniuk.

Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus academician V.G.Gusakov addressed the participants of the forum with a welcome speech, Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation A.V.Zyryanova, Deputy State Secretary of the Union State E.L.Bohdan, Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus A.V.Kadlubai, director of the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, D.I.N. Yu.A.Petrov, director of the «Historical Memory» fund A.R.Dyukov.

On October 3, the work of the forum began with a plenary session, and then continued with presentations in three sections: «Key directions of Russian-Belarusian cooperation in the field of historical memory preservation and countermeasures against falsification of history», «Formation of spiritual and moral values in the process of raising a new generation: topical issues historical education» and «Nazi genocide on the territory of Belarus and Russia: historical and legal assessments and approaches».

The work of the third section was attended by the head of the publications department of NARB, Ph.D. S.V.Kulinok. He presented the report «Punitive operations of the Nazis in Belarus: theoretical and methodological aspect». The performance aroused the lively interest and discussion of the participants.

As part of the work of the forum, a banner exhibition «Without a statute of limitations» was presented to its participants. Belarus», as well as a stand with NARB publications.
