On September 19, 2023, as part of the republican action «Archives for School», the State Archive of the Vitebsk Region was visited by students of the State Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 4 of Vitebsk”

During the lesson, the children were introduced to the history of the youngest public holiday in Belarus – National Unity Day. Documents were presented on issues related to the accession of Western Belarus to the BSSR.

Students were also informed about archives storing documents of institutions and organizations of the Polish state on the territory of Western Belarus in the period 1919–1939.
