On the participation of employees of the National Historical Archives of Belarus, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents in the celebrations dedicated to the Day of Knowledge at the Minsk State College of Digital Technologies
On September 1, 2023, employees of the National Historical Archives of Belarus, National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian State Archives of Film and Photo Documents as part of events dedicated to Day knowledge and the beginning of the new academic year, visited Minsk State College of Digital Technologies.
The guests of honor of the event were Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Khomenko, Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management for Archives and Records Management Oleg Voinov, Chairman of the Education Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee Andrei Strigelsky strong>, First Deputy General Director of OAO Integral Alexander Dudkin. Minister of Justice Sergei Khomenko solemnly handed over student cards and handed over to the library of the institution a new edition of BELTA and the Ministry of Justice “Archives. Nothing but the truth.”.
Leading Researcher of the Research and Publication Department of the NIAB Sergey Ryndin, Head of the Department for the Use of Documents and Information of the NARB Margarita Starostenko, Chief Custodian of the BGAKFFD Funds Alla Kot > familiarized college guests and students with an exhibition of archival documents reflecting school life in the pre-revolutionary and Soviet times: photographs of students and teachers, school diaries and essays, class journals and a number of other documents about school life of the past.
For the event, the BGAKFFD prepared a film clip composed of newsreel fragments dedicated to the grand opening of the academic year in the schools of the BSSR in 1943-1986. Materials were selected for the film, which show solemn rulers and the first lessons, buildings and interiors of schools, general plans of the cities of the BSSR.
The holding of this solemn event is intended to emphasize the care and attention of the state in matters of education for the younger generation.
