On August 24, 2023, the first solemn ceremony of initiation of young archivists was held at the site of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus. This year, 28 young specialists from the leading universities of our country arrived at the republican archival institutions.

Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L. Voinov, member of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Education, Culture and Science, Deputy Chairman of the Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly on Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism delivered a welcoming speech to the graduates S.M. Klishevich, Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Belarusian Trade Union of Workers of State and Other Institutions S.V. Potapenko.

During the event, the children had a unique opportunity not only to communicate with the leaders of the republican archival institutions, but also to get acquainted with the main areas of activity of the archives.

An excursion was organized for young specialists at the National Archives, during which they went through all the stages of work in the archive with their «grade books»: acquisition, preservation, digitization of documents, use. The guys successfully completed all the tasks and demonstrated a high level of professional training.

During the ceremony of initiation into archivists, former graduates took the oath of an archivist and received memorable gifts from the Minsk City Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of State and Other Institutions Workers, as well as from the archival industry.

Young cadres are a particle of the future of our country. Let the first workplace of every young specialist be a good starting step in great professional growth!

We wish our young archivists never to stop halfway, to acquire the necessary knowledge and life values! Always strive upward, to conquer more and more new horizons!
