Students of the secondary school No. 28 in Vitebsk visited the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region at the national action “Archives for School”

On July 28, 2023, as part of the Republican campaign “Archives for School”, The State Archives of Vitebsk Region was visited by students of secondary school No. 28 in Vitebsk, who are in a summer recreational school camp with daytime stay for children.

During the tour, young visitors got an idea about the archive as an institution: why society needs it, what people working in the archive do, they learned what a historical source, archival document and archival fund are, got acquainted with the conditions for storing documents, the work of restorers, watched a virtual exhibition dedicated to the liberation of the Vitebsk region from the Nazi invaders in 1944.
