On participation in the presentation of the genealogy festival «Echo of centuries – Tarikhta bez ezlebez»

July 18, 2023, as part of the implementation of the activities provided for by the Roadmap for the development of cooperation between archival institutions of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) for 2023–2025, representatives of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and the National Historical Archives of Belarus took part in a meeting with the archivists of Tatarstan, which took place in the format of a videoconference. As part of the meeting, Tatar archivists held a presentation of the genealogy festival «Echo of the Ages – Tarikhta without Ezlebez», which is held annually in Tatarstan, aimed at preserving and developing family tree traditions, strengthening family ties and continuity of generations, attracting the attention of the general public to the history of Tatarstan and their families .

The event was attended by: from the Belarusian side – Deputy Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus Aleksey Tsvetkov, Deputy Director of the NIA of Belarus Irina Kovganova, Deputy Director of the NIA of Belarus Maxim Makarov, Head of the Department of Research and Publication Activities of the NIA of Belarus Dmitry Matveychik, Deputy Head of the Department of Research and Publication Activities of the NIA of Belarus Yevgeny Glinsky, Leading Archivist of the Department of Information Retrieval Systems of the NIA of Belarus Alena Lyubaya; from the Tatar side – Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Archives Gulnara Minzyanova, Director of the State Budgetary Institution «State Archives of the Republic of Tatarstan» Bakhtiyar Fakhrutdinov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed practical steps to implement the points of the Roadmap, including the preparation of a collection of documents dedicated to the historical and cultural heritage of the Muslim Tatars of Belarus in the 16th–20th centuries. The participants of the meeting noted the importance of such events for conducting a bilateral dialogue and establishing mutual contacts.
