On holding a lecture at the Department for the Execution of Punishments

On June 17, 2023, on the eve of the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the genocide of the Belarusian people, Head of the Publications Department of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, Ph.D. S.V. Kulinok delivered a lecture “On the genocide of the population of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War” at the Department of Corrections of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

In the online format, 56 correctional institutions connected to the video lecture. More than 700 people listened to the lecture.

In his speech, the speaker revealed the concept of “genocide”, spoke about the main legal documents of Nazi Germany regarding the policy of extermination of the civilian population, and also dwelled in detail on the main forms and methods of implementing the practice of genocide in the occupied territory of Belarus. Separate parts of the lecture were devoted to the Khatyn tragedy and Aktion 1005, the Nazi operation to cover up the traces of their crimes.
