On May 30, 2023, in the reading room of the institution “The State Archive of the Gomel Region” (hereinafter referred to as GAG), continuing the events for the 100th anniversary of the archive, a solemn meeting was held at which the chairman of the primary trade union organization GAG Yu.V. Lazovenko congratulated the team from the Gomel regional organization of the Belarusian trade union of workers of state and other institutions.

Certificates of honor and gratitude for many years of conscientious work, high professionalism, active participation in the public life of the organization, support and development of trade union initiatives and connections with the 100th anniversary of the State Archives of the Gomel Region were awarded to: archivist of the 1st category O.V. Tymoshenko, archivist of the 2nd category T.N. Makarevich, leading archivist M.V. Bortnovskaya, head of the department of office work, formation of the national archival fund and archives of organizations T.V. Khinevich.

The deputy director of the archive A.P. Mitskevich joined the words of congratulations, once again congratulated the archive staff on the anniversary, noting the good and close-knit work of the team.

“Thanks to the high professionalism of the archive workers, the historical and documentary treasury of Belarus is preserved and multiplied, the connection between the past, present and future is strengthened,” noted A.P. Mitskevich.

After the solemn part, the current working issues were discussed, the results were summed up, and the nearest plans were outlined.

Thus, the head of the department for accounting and ensuring the safety of documents Zhineva I.V. acquainted the team with the order of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus S.N. Khomenko, given during the final collegium in the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice (hereinafter referred to as the Department) on the developed new general concept of emblems of state archival institutions for regional and zonal archives, proposed and in the final version approved by the Minister of Justice and the Director Department O.L. Voinov. The archive team unanimously voted for the emblem designed by the GAG.
