Commissioning of the Mogilev Elevator Plant

The State Archives of the Mogilev Region institution presents to your attention a copy of the Order of the Minister of Construction, Road and Municipal Construction of the USSR dated February 13, 1968 No. 46 «On the partial commissioning of the Mogilev Elevator Plant». In April 1970, the plant produced the first three elevators, which were installed in the building of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee.

Archival funds allow us to trace the history of the development of the enterprise from the moment of its foundation. At present JSC «Mogilev Elevator Engineering Plant» is one of the largest industrial enterprises in the region. The product range is about 180 basic models of elevators. In addition to elevators, the plant produces lifts for physically impaired persons, escalators and travolators, construction hoists and undergrowth shredders (mulchers), as well as consumer goods.

The quality of the manufactured products is confirmed by the wide geography of the sales market.
