On participation in the organization of an international conference

The National Historical Archive of Belarus in cooperation with the Vitebsk State University. P.M. Masherov, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus and the St. Petersburg Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences will organize the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference «Actual Problems of Source Studies», which will be held in Vitebsk on April 27–29, 2023.

During the conference, it is planned to discuss a wide range of issues grouped into three large blocks:

1) «Theory, history, research practices of source studies»;

2) «Source study of narratives of local – national – global
stories»;

3) «Belarus and the East: the experience of centuries. Sources and historiography».

In addition, it is planned to hold several round tables, exhibitions, presentations and other events.

At the conference, presentations are planned by the deputy director of the archive Maxim Makarov, the deputy head of the department of research and publication activities Evgeny Glinsky and the leading researcher of the same department Sergey Ryndin. In addition, the attention of the participants and guests of the conference will be offered a banner exhibition on the history of the archive and its funds, as well as an exhibition of book publications of the NIA of Belarus, which have been published in the last decade.
