On March 20, 2023, within the framework of the «Archives-School» campaign, in the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 127 of Minsk», employees of the State Archives of the Minsk Region institution held an information hour, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Khatyn tragedy

As part of the «Archives for School» campaign and events dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation, with 9th grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 127 of Minsk» employees of the institution «The State Archives of the Minsk Region» held an information hour on the topic: «Remember to live. Burnt villages. Crime without statute of limitations», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Khatyn tragedy.

During this event, the children were presented with unique documents stored in the archive, which testify to the destruction of the Belarusian village of Khatyn, which has become the main national monument of mourning and grief, as well as archival materials about perpetuating the memory of the tragedy, namely the creation of a memorial complex «Khatyn».

Schoolchildren actively participated in the discussion of the theme of the event, arguing that it is impossible to build the future without knowing the past. They showed genuine interest in the history of the Belarusian people, in which both the heroic and the tragic are intertwined.
