Discussion of the program of the political party «Belaya Rus»
On March 7, 2023, a meeting of the dialogue platform was held on the basis of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus to discuss the program of the political party «Belaya Rus». The forum was attended by the chairman of the republican public association «Belaya Rus» O.A.Romanov, the chairman of the Youth Council (parliament) at the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus N.S.Rachilovskiy, representatives of the Youth Parliament. From the National Archives, the chairman of the primary organization «Belaya Rus» I.A.Shirokiy took part in the event.
The dialogue platform was opened by O.A. Romanov:
– At present, the draft program of the political party is ready. In order for this program to become a truly program of the people’s party, the party of the people’s majority, it must be widely discussed. It is necessary to collect opinions, visions of people from different regions of the country, representatives of different social groups. Today we have a meeting with the youth. It is no less important in order to implement some of the ideas of youth policy. Therefore, it is important to hear the position of young people.
N.S. Rachilovsky in his speech noted: «It is very symbolic that today we are meeting on the basis of the National Archives. This is the place where over time people will come to study the history of the formation of the party, the youth movement of sovereign Belarus».
Each participant was able to express his opinion, ask exciting questions and make additions to individual blocks of the program. The activists suggested creating a new section on the security of our country and the fight against corruption, as well as making additions on cooperation with parties and public associations of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
At the end of the event, T.N.Ageyenko, a researcher at the Publications Department, conducted a tour of the archive, introducing the guests to the history of the archive, its structure, and the composition of documents. The guests visited the archives, where they got acquainted with the archival documents of the period of the Great Patriotic War and the conditions for their storage.
