Participation of employees of the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents» in the laying ceremony dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Soldiers-Internationalists
On February 15, 1989, the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan began. The operation was led by the last commander of the limited contingent, Lieutenant General Boris Gromov. Soviet troops have been on the territory of this country since December 25, 1979 and acted on the side of the government of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan.
This war in a country far from Belarus affected many of our compatriots, their families, relatives, friends and comrades.
Every year, on this memorable day, those who went through this war gather. Participants of the events remember those who died in that war, pay tribute to the living and families of soldiers-internationalists.
On February 15, 2023, employees of the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents» (hereinafter – BGAKFFD) represented by Deputy Director for Ideological Work Grinevich E.M., Secretary of the primary organization of the public association «Belarusian Republican Youth Union» BGAKFFD and a member of the Youth Parliament under the Dzerzhinsky District Council deputies Mesha S.V., member of the primary organization of the public association «Belarusian Republican Youth Union» BGAKFFD Korotkov E.V., chairman of the trade union committee Kot A.K. visited the monument to soldiers-internationalists in Dzerzhinsk and laid flowers at the monument.
