On the opening of the interactive exhibition «Partisans of Belarus» in the Republican Clinical Medical Center
On February 14, 2023, an interactive exhibition «Partisans of Belarus» was opened at the Republican Clinical Medical Center (RCMC). The exposition is dedicated to the partisan and underground movement during the Great Patriotic War and is based on the documents of the unique project of the publishing house «Belarus Today» and the National Archive, the portal «Partisans of Belarus», materials of the Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents.
Opening the exhibition, the chief physician of the Republican Clinical Medical Center of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus Irina Abelskaya emphasized:
– We are proud that it is within the walls of our institution that a kind of marathon was launched to promote the exhibition through the medical institutions of our cities. For our center, the topic of preserving memory is very relevant, and we treat it with great attention. This project is not only a contact with the historical moments of the partisan movement, but also a great opportunity to find your loved ones. After all, unfortunately, few people know how their ancestors lived, how and in the name of what they fought the enemy, what they loved and what they aspired to.
Oksana Moiseenkova, Head of the HR and Records Department of the Main Directorate of the RCMC, who found her relatives at the exhibition with the help of a mobile branded stand: her maternal grandfather Mikhail Ivanovich Voitko and paternal grandfather Mikhail Ivanovich Dovnar, said:
– Today a new page of my family has been opened for me. We will definitely print out all the award lists and characteristics and keep them as a priceless relic.
Director of the National Archives Andrey Demyanuk, speaking to those present, noted:
– During the implementation of the project, data on nearly 202 thousand partisans and underground fighters were posted on the Internet portal. The Internet portal «Partisans of Belarus» and the exhibition of the same name today perform the most important task – the personification of the history of the Great Patriotic War.
