As part of the information day, on February 8, 2023, a meeting of archive workers was held in the reading room of the State Archives of the Gomel Region (hereinafter referred to as the GAG).

In his report, the director of the GAGom Sushchevich A.N. brought to the attention of the team information about the events that took place in the country and abroad from January 28 to February 3, 2023.

Andrei Nikolaevich noted that President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated scientists, employees of research institutes and institutions of higher education on the Day of Belarusian Science.

“In the Year of Peace and Creation, a huge responsibility is assigned to science. Both industry, agriculture and the social sphere need breakthrough innovative ideas and developments,” the Head of State said.

The director of the archive also said that the Council of the Republic had approved a bill to amend the Electoral Code. The draft law introduces changes to the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus to improve it, taking into account the practice of application and bringing it into line with legislative acts, including the updated Constitution.

In addition, Sushchevich A.N. in his report, he informed the archive staff about the meeting of the collegium of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus on February 4, 2023 “On the results of the work of the archive industry of the Republic of Belarus for 2022 and tasks for 2023”.

At the same time, he separately dwelled on the tasks facing the regional archive.

At the end of his speech, Andrei Nikolayevich drew the attention of the archive staff to the unconditional execution of the order of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus No. 86 dated April 29, 2022 “On the procedure for submitting information to the Ministry of Justice about offenses, incidents, events.”
