On December 22, 2022, a conversation was held at the State Archive of the Gomel Region (hereinafter referred to as the GAG) on the topics: «Alcohol is the enemy of health», «Prevention of drug addiction». At the invitation of the director of the archive Sushchevich A.N. the paramedic of the cabinet of anti-alcohol propaganda of the institution «Gomel Regional Narcological Dispensary» Primachenko Viktoria Viktorovna took part in the event.

In his report Primachenko V.V. spoke about the negative impact of alcohol on the body with systematic use.

– Alcoholism is a disease that can be stopped but not completely cured. One of its signs is an uncontrollable desire to drink alcohol. This is a progressive disease, and if it is not stopped, the result may be a loss of reason or death, – said Viktoria Viktorovna.

In addition, a specialist from the regional narcological dispensary told what is meant by drug addiction, as well as what preventive measures are being taken to prevent the spread of drug addiction.

During the event, Victoria Viktorovna answered in detail all the urgent questions of the GAG employees on the above topics.

At the end of the meeting, the director of the archive, Andrey Nikolayevich, summed up the results, noting that the main goal of the event was to draw attention to the problem of alcoholism and drug addiction in modern society. Any attempts by those who use drugs to influence the younger generation must be prevented in every possible way.
