As part of the information day, on December 5, 2022, a meeting of the archive staff was held in the reading room of the State Archive of the Gomel Region (hereinafter referred to as the SAG).
In his report, the director of the GAGom Sushchevich A.N. brought to the attention of the team information about the events that took place in the country and abroad over the past period, provided by the Main Department of Justice of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee.
Andrey Nikolayevich also informed the employees of the GAG that the second regional competition «Young archivist» dedicated to the theme «Memory and pain of the Gomel land» was held in Svetlogorsk.
The defense of research papers submitted for the competition took place in the Art Gallery. Pryanishnikov, where strict selection and evaluation criteria were presented to the contestants. During the event, the competition commission evaluated the selected works within the framework of the above topic, in three categories: «Genocide – the conveyor of death», «Bells of burned villages», «The fate of» workers from the East», prepared using historical documents, as well as independent research work of the contestants .
To preserve the civic-patriotic mood in the younger generation, the awarding of the participants of the regional competition took place at the Ola memorial complex. An excursion around the museum and the memorial complex was organized for the children.
In continuation of the event, Deputy Director of the GAGom Mitskevich A.P. in his speech, he spoke about the Zero Injury Week, noting that the Zero Injury Week is held to ensure the safety and health of workers at workplaces, to prevent occupational injuries in bodies and organizations of the Ministry of Justice system by promptly identifying violations of labor protection standards and applying measures to their elimination.
In addition, during the meeting, Andrey Petrovich familiarized the GAG team with the Instruction on labor protection.
