On a visit to the Vileika Museum of Local Lore by employees of the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno
As part of the Year of Historical Memory, on November 30, 2022, employees of the department for the use of documents and the introduction of automated technologies and the director of the Zonal State Archive in Molodechno Oksana Adamovich visited the exposition «Genocide of the Belarusian people», organized in the Vileika Museum of Local Lore.
The exposition uses materials from the investigation of atrocities committed by former employees of the Main Directorate of the SD branch in Vileika: copies of photographs of SD employees, plans and layouts of the ghetto in Vileika, acts of the Vileika City State Emergency Commission to identify atrocities committed by Nazi invaders during the occupation of Vileika . A special section of the exposition is the burnt villages of the Vileika region. During the years of Nazi occupation, 76 villages were burned on the territory of the Vileika region, along with the inhabitants and not restored after the war, as well as with part of the population and restored after the war: map of burned villages, photographs, memoirs.
And also for the employees of the museum, the director of the archive held a presentation of the mobile exhibition «History of the archive in documents and photographs».
