On November 22, 2022, on the basis of the institution «State Archive of the Gomel Region» on the eve of the 79th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Gomel from the Nazi invaders, as part of the «Archives to School» campaign for schoolchildren, the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 73 in Gomel» was held lesson-lecture on the topic «November 26 – the day of the liberation of Gomel from the Nazi invaders»

November 22, 2022 on the basis of the State Archives of the Gomel Region (hereinafter referred to as GAG) on the eve of the 79th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Gomel from Nazi invaders as part of the Archives-School campaign for schoolchildren of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 73 Gomel» a lesson-lecture was held on the topic «November 26 – the day of the liberation of Gomel from the Nazi invaders».

As part of the meeting, students also got acquainted with two exhibitions: «November 26, 1943 – the liberation of the city of Gomel», «The crime of the Nazis and their accomplices. Gomel region». The archival documents presented at the exhibition reflect the atrocities committed by the Nazis and their accomplices in the occupied territory of the city of Gomel and the region.

In addition, in the reading room, the GAG ​​showed a video film for the children: «The Liberation of Gomel», reflecting the outstanding feat of soldiers in a difficult combat with the Nazi invaders.

At the end of the event, students were given a tour of the archive, during which they got acquainted with the main areas of work of the archive, visited the archive.
