Documentary exhibition «The history of the building of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus in archival documents and materials»

On November 14, a documentary exhibition “The History of the Building of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus in Archival Documents and Materials” was opened in the building of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

On October 9, 1939, a planned meeting of the Central Committee of the CP(b)B took place, at which one issue was considered – “On the House of the Central Committee of the CP(b)B”. Thus, the construction of the building of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the BSSR was initiated, which was completed in 1947. In Soviet times, the CPB was the core of the socio-economic, socio-political, cultural life of Belarus. The House of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus discussed, analyzed, planned and made the most important decisions that determine the development of our republic: the restoration of the republic in the post-war period, the entry of the BSSR into the UN, the construction of MAZ, tractor and bicycle plants, the Soligorsk potash plant, the Mozyr and Polotsk oil refineries and much more something else that our country is proud of at the present time.

The independence of the Republic of Belarus in 1991, the departure from the political arena of the Communist Party in the country, the holding of elections and the election of the first President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko in 1994 radically changed the situation and the status of the House of the Central Committee of the CPB. Since that time, it has become the Residence of the President of the Republic of Belarus and his Administration. Today, in the building of the Presidential Administration, decisions are planned and made on the strategic directions of the domestic and foreign policy of our country, priority and promising directions for the development of our state are determined.

For the first time, the exhibition presents original documents from the funds of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus: a building project created by the famous architect of the BSSR A.P. Voinov (sketches of stucco moldings, stairs, ceiling lamps, drawings of rooms, samples of colored wood with which the offices were lined), documents showing the process of starting and finishing the construction of the building of the current Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus in 1947, as well as the personal files of the first secretaries of the Central Committee of the CPB – N. Patolichev, K. Mazurov, P. Masherov.

The Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus Sergeenko Igor Petrovich, First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus Ryzhenkov Maxim Vladimirovich, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President Chupris Olga Ivanovna, Chief Executive Officer of the President of the Republic of Belarus Nazarov Yuri Viktorovich, as well as employees of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
