As part of the Year of Historical Memory, a thematic excursion “Introduction to the Archives” was held for 11th grade students of the Secondary School No. 5 in Slutsk.

As part of the Year of Historical Memory and the action “Archives for School”, in order to popularize the documents of the institution “Zonal State Archive in Slutsk” (hereinafter referred to as the State Archive), to ensure the inextricable historical connection and continuity of generations of the Belarusian people, the staff of the State Archive conducted a thematic tour “Introduction to archive” for 11th grade students of the Secondary School N5 in Slutsk.

Also, as part of the event, a tour of the archives was organized for students, where they could get acquainted with rare documents, learn how documents are stored.

At the end of the tour, a conversation took place about why it is necessary to know the history of your city, region, and how important it is to preserve documents of historical significance.

Leaving the archive, the students thanked for the educational tour.
