On October 21, 2022, the children of the employees of the Zonal State Archives in Orsha congratulated their dads on Father’s Day

On October 21, 2022, the children of the archive workers congratulated their dads on Father’s Day.

A new holiday, Father’s Day, was established in Belarus on October 21. The corresponding Decree No. 198 was signed on June 9 by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

The document amended Decree No. 157 dated March 26, 1998 “On public holidays, holidays and memorable dates in the Republic of Belarus”.

The initiative to establish Father’s Day was made during the President’s Address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly on January 28, 2022. The head of state supported the idea and instructed the Government to develop an appropriate document.

The date of October 21 was chosen to celebrate Father’s Day, since Belarus has a long tradition of celebrating Mother’s Day on October 14, and now it is possible to spend parental week from October 14 to 21.

Being a dad is a lot of work, which is difficult for even the strongest men to cope with. Understanding and supporting your child, being close and being on the same wavelength is a very important task.

In the life of each of us, the father plays an important role, being the guarantor of protection, a wise adviser and friend.

The staff of the State Archive in Orsha congratulates all dads on Father’s Day, we wish family well-being, pride in children, health and faith in oneself!!!
