On September 6, 2022, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus hosted the opening of a photo-documentary exhibition to mark the 120th anniversary of Panteleimon Kondratievich Ponomarenko – the statesman and Party leader, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the BSSR, Minister of Procurement of the USSR, Minister of Culture of the USSR, Chief of the Central Headquarters of the Partisan Movement, Lieutenant General. The exhibition was prepared by the staff of the National Archives together with the Russian State Archives of Social and Political History with the participation of the Belarusian State Archives of Films, Photographs and Sound Recordings.

Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Demyanyuk made a welcoming speech.

The exhibition was visited by the representatives of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, heads of the central archival institutions, teachers of the higher educational institutions of Belarus and Russia, students of the History Faculty of the Belarusian State University – participants of the international round table “In order to strengthen communication and leadership of the partisan units of Belarus… (to the 80th anniversary of the Belarusian Headquarters of the Partisan Movement). The curator of the exhibition, head of the department of personal collections Inessa Dorogush gave an overview tour, told about the composition of the documents presented at the exhibition.

The guests of honour at the event were grandchildren of the chief of the Belarusian Headquarters of the Partisan Movement Pyotr Z. Kalinin: deputy chairman of the International Federation of Martial Arts Pyotr M. Kalinin and the leading specialist of the Soviet District Organization of Veterans of Minsk Natalia Sheleg. The guests visited the exhibition and the archival repository of personal collections, where they got acquainted with the documents from personal archives of the state and party figures, participants of the Great Patriotic War.
