Visit of the Chairman of the National State Television and Radio Company to the Belarusian State Archives of Films, Photographs and Sound Recordings
Today, the collections of the Belarusian State Archives of Films, Photographs and Sound Recordings (BGAKFFD) contain 275,000 photographs, 52,000 film documents, 7,000 video documents, and almost 23,000 sound recordings.
A piece of this unique history was seen and touched by the Chairman of the National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus Ivan Eismont. The curators of the state heritage held and excursion for Ivan Eismont to the archives and shared the secrets of how to preserve the unique heritage for the followers in the modern technological conditions. They emphasized that the main source of their collections are the documents donated by Belteleradiocompany. At the meeting A. N. Gonchar and I. M. Eismont discussed joint projects which would make the archival documents accessible to a wide range of viewers. This is especially important in the Year of Historical Memory and the 100th anniversary of the Archival Service of Belarus.
