As part of the Archives for School campaign in the Year of Historical Memory and on the eve of the 77th anniversary of the Great Victory, the State Archives of Minsk Region conducted a tour for students of Secondary School No. 26 in Minsk

On 28 April 2022, the State Archives of Minsk Region held an excursion for 3 “A” grade pupils of Secondary School No. 26 in Minsk together with their class teacher Viktoria G. Melyakh as part of the Archives for School campaign.

During the tour, T. A. Anpilogova, an employee of the Department of Use and Publication of Documents, told how the Archives was created and what they had gone through to preserve the most valuable materials and documentary evidence of history. The children with genuine attention examined the original documents related to the prewar period and learned how the documents were kept during the Great Patriotic War. Of particular interest were the diaries of the participant of the Great Patriotic War Alexey Sapunov, an order bearer, reserve lieutenant colonel. The tour ended with a visit to the archive repository.
