The National Historical Archives of Belarus honor the memory of the front-line veterans, former archive workers

On 16 April 2022, the staff of the National Historical Archives of Belarus paid tribute to the front-line veterans, former archive workers Pyotr Sudilovsky and Aleksandr Vlasov, visited their graves at the Eastern Cemetery in Minsk and laid flowers at them.

 

Pyotr Mikhailovich Sudilovsky

 

Pyotr Mikhailovich Sudilovsky (February 13, 1928 – February 14, 2000), engineer, production organizer, administrative worker, archivist. During the Second World War, he volunteered for the front. In 1949-1954 he studied at the Leningrad Mining Institute, after which he worked at the Apatite plant in Kirovsk, Murmansk Region. In 1962 he joined the Belaruskali Potash Fertilizers Production Association in Soligorsk, where he rose from mining engineer to general director. After serious illness he retired. From November 1982 to March 1992, worked as director of the Central Historical Archives of the BSSR, made a considerable contribution to the development of the institution. He was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor, orders and medals, and Certificates of Honor of the Supreme Council of the USSR.

 

Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Vlasov

 

Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Vlasov (December 4, 1916 – September 26, 2013), military officer, administrative worker. From September 1939 to December 1954 he served in the Soviet Army, participated in the war with Japan in 1945. In 1954-1962 he served at the headquarters of the Belarusian Military District, in 1962-1969 at the headquarters of Soviet troops in Germany. Lieutenant colonel, retired from the Ministry of Defense of the USSR from January 1970. From October 6, 1976 to January 13, 1978, he worked as a head of the economic department of the Central State Historical Archives of the BSSR. He was awarded orders and medals of the USSR.
