Excursion to the State Memorial Complex “Khatyn” for students of Secondary School No 52 in Minsk

On 30 March 2022, as part of the Archives for School campaign in the Year of Historical Memory, an excursion to the State Memorial Complex “Khatyn” and the Memorial Architectural and Sculptural Complex “Dalva” was organized for students of Secondary School No 52 in Minsk by the school teachers and an employee of the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art, Kseniya Tsynkevich.

The students were told about the hundreds of Belarusian villages destroyed by the Nazis, about the contribution of the Belarusians to the victory and world culture, and about the history of the memorial complexes.

They also acquainted with some copies of archival documents on these tragic events in the history of the Belarusians and learned about the book “Khatyn. Tragedy and Memory”, which includes documents and materials of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus.
