Working meetings of the State Secretary of the Union State D. F. Mezentsev with the participation of the Head of the Federal Archival Agency of Russia A. N. Artizov and the Director of the Archives and Records Management Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus V. I. Kurash

On March 16, 2022, the State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus D. F. Mezentsev, the Head of the Federal Archival Agency of the Russian Federation A. N. Artizov and the Director of the Archives and Records Management Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus V. I. Kurash held several working meetings aimed at the development of Belarus-Russia cooperation in the sphere of history and culture.

During a visit to the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, with the participation of Museum Director V. I. Prokoptsov, they discussed prospective areas for cooperation between archival and museum institutions of Belarus and Russia.

M. S. Orda, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Union of Belarus, told about the projects aimed at preserving and protecting the historical memory implemented by the Federation of Trade Unions. The parties agreed that the state archives should provide the necessary consultative, methodological and practical assistance in preparing individual projects (in particular, to organise a student memorial route dedicated to the operation “Bagration “).

During a visit to the Memorial Church of All Saints and in Memory of the Victims for the Salvation of Our Fatherland and communicating with Archpriest Feodor Povny, the parties determined the areas for Belarus-Russia cooperation in commemorating the Nazi victims who died in the death camp Trostenets.
