The State Archives of Minsk Region has prepared a virtual exhibition of documents MATRICULATION CERTIFICATE.

“Matriculation certificate” was until recently a term for the diploma of complete secondary education. Officially, this title existed in the USSR until 1962. We inherited it from the Russian Empire, where since 1872 gymnasium students received a certificate of maturity. Today, after exams in a solemn atmosphere graduates receive a certificate of general secondary education.

The solemn and at the same time exciting graduation ceremony and farewell to school will be held this year on June 10-11. A lot of kind words addressed to graduates will be heard on this day. Each of them has its own road ahead. Good luck and happiness, dear graduates!
