Open Day at the Zonal State Archives in Lida

On June 6, 2025, as part of the International Archives Week, an Open Day was held at the Zonal State Archives in Lida. On this day, the state archive was visited by students of grades 1-3 and 6 of the State Educational Institution Secondary School No.8 in Lida named after V.F. Kazakov, who were attending a summer school camp. The students were given lessons on the topic of «Introduction to Archival Science», and were given overview tours of the archive with visits to exhibitions. The archive staff also held master classes on the topic: «I am learning to write with a pen». The schoolchildren spent their time usefully and were able to try themselves in the role of archivists.

Also, as part of the International Archives Week, the archive staff provided consultations on issues of record keeping, archive staffing, accounting, storage, and use of archival documents to anyone interested, as well as to persons responsible for record keeping and the archives of organizations.
