Monograph The Archive of Orthodox and Greek Catholic Metropolitans of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 16th -18th centuries (history, structure, contents)
 The Belarusian Research Institute of Records Management and Archival Science (BelNIIDAD) has released a monograph called The Archive of the Orthodox and Greek Catholic Metropolitans of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 16th – 18th Centuries (History, Structure, Contents).
The book investigates the history of the Orthodox and later the Uniate (Greek Catholic) Metropolitans of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 16th through the 18th centuries. This examines the sources of the documentary collection of the metropolitans, its destiny in the 19th and 20th centuries, the structure and contents of the archives in different periods. The appendix contains extracts from the 1763 inventory of the metropolitans’ archives. The book is intended for archivists, historical editors and everyone interested in the history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the history of the church. |
