BGAMLI Featured on the «Creative Evening» Program on the First National Channel of Belarusian Radio

On September 30, 2026, Tatyana Anpilogova—a senior archivist in the Department of Information, Publication, and Document Utilization at the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (BGAMLI) — participated in the recording of the program «Creative Evening» (Tvorchesky Vecher) with host Yana Khodosko on the First National Channel of Belarusian Radio.

The broadcast focused on the life and brilliant creative legacy of a legend of the Belarusian stage: People’s Artist of the BSSR Irina Florianovna Zhdanovich (1906–1994).

The conversation centered on a documentary exhibition organized in the Fireplace Hall of the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theatre, marking the 120th anniversary of the birth of Irina Zhdanovich — an actress, director, educator, and public figure. Hosting this anniversary exhibition within the Kupala Theatre holds deep symbolic significance: Irina Zhdanovich dedicated nearly 42 years of service to this stage, traversing an impressive career path that ranged from roles played as a child and teenager to becoming the first actress in history to portray Shakespeare’s Juliet on the Belarusian stage.

During the broadcast, Tatyana Anpilogova told listeners about unique archival documents and photographs from the BGAMLI collections. These materials reveal not only the great actress’s stage transformations but also her immense contribution to the development of national theater art, directing, and pedagogy.

Tune in to the «Creative Evening» program dedicated to I.F.Zhdanovich on the First National Channel of Belarusian Radio!
